MEET Pastor Conrad De La Torres, Jr.
Pastor Conrad and his wife, Patricia, have two children, Monique Gustafson and Conrad III, and four grandchildren. He pastors Fusion Church in Homestead, Florida, and travels the country, sharing his testimony about being a smuggler and spending time in prison. Pastor Conrad is a dynamic speaker who communicates effectively with both believers and non-believers of all ages. He challenges and motivates his listeners with the power of God’s Word in an emotional, unique, and powerful way. Using two colors, he makes the Bible come alive in such a way that it will not only move you but also transform you.
Pastor Conrad De La Torres, Jr., was born in Cuba. His family defected to the United States when he was seven years old. He grew up in the Florida Keys and graduated from Coral Shores High School in 1976. In 1980, he graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a B.A. in Psychology/Physical Education and a minor in History.
Although our approach to church is anything but traditional, we believe in and maintain a conservative theological position, which is the foundation of this church. Our core beliefs are divided into three categories: beliefs about God, beliefs about people, and beliefs about the church, Bible and Christ’s return.
God
1. There is one living, sovereign God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Rev. 1:8, Is. 43:10–11, Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19)
2. Jesus, fully God and fully human, was sent by the Father to live on earth. He lived a sinless life, willingly laid down his life, and rose from the grave after three days, fulfilling the payment for the world’s debt of sin. (Luke 1:31, 35, 1 Cor. 15:3, 2 Cor. 5:21)
3. The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin and empower believers. He resides in every believer, serving as a constant helper, teacher, and guide. (John 14:16-17)
People
1. God created people in his image, and every individual holds significance to God. (Gen. 1:26-27, Gen. 5:1-2)
2. All people are sinners and require God’s forgiveness. (Rom. 3:23)
3. Those who confess their sins, turn from them, and trust in Jesus Christ will be saved by grace and become children of God, with the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16–17, Gal. 3:26)
The Church, the Bible, and Christ’s Return
1. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and all believers are members. (Eph. 4:15-16)
2. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and holds supreme authority in matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16–17)
3. Jesus Christ will return, and there will be a final judgment. (Matt. 24:3, 37)

PASTOR CONRAD BOOKS
Pastor Conrad is the author of the book The Dilemma of the Adams, published by Westbow Press in 2022. A must-read for any serious student of the Word of God. In a biblical commentary, Pastor Conrad provides insight into the greatest dilemmas that have been experienced on Earth. Shared with the intent of helping believers understand in greater depth the dilemmas of the Adams and then apply the knowledge to their own lives, Pastor De La Torres examines the trials faced by the two Adams of the Bible—Adam himself and Jesus Christ—as they are experienced in two separate gardens. Two men in two gardens fall in love with two women, face two dilemmas, and ultimately make two decisions with historical and eternal ramifications. You can order it at westbowpress.com.
